4 – 5:30 p.m. – Sip & Sculpt with the University Advising Team

Join the U of I’s academic advisors and unleash your creativity at this hands-on session where art meets refreshment! Grab your voucher and head to the Soda Spout to enjoy a free hand-crafted soda—then come craft your own clay figure in a relaxed, social atmosphere. No experience needed—just bring your ideas and sip while you sculpt!

8:30 p.m. – Screen on the Green
Theophilus Tower Lawn
Join the Department of Student Involvement and Vandal Entertainment for a showing of “Thunderbolts” at dusk. Seating opens at 7:30 p.m. and students are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and snacks from home. This event is free and open to all students.

10 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. – Target Shopping
Moscow Target
Join Housing and Residence Life for a student’s-only night of shopping at Target in Moscow. Target will be closed to the general public at this time so join other Vandals for games, prizes and shopping deals. Free transportation will be provided from the LLC Bus stop, Wallace Residence Hall, Bruce M. Pitman Center and various stops along Greek Row.

An introduction to the pre-Health program, covering academic planning, resources, prerequisites, and how to prepare for professional school applications. Following this session, join an optional session where students meet peer mentors, gain insights and build connections to support their pre-health journey.

2 – 4 p.m. – Paint, Plants, and Popcorn

Get your hands dirty (in the best way)! Swing by the ISUB Plaza to paint your own plant pot, pick out a free plant to brighten up your new space, and snack on some popcorn while you unleash your creativity. It’s the perfect chill break to meet new friends and add a little life to your room!

Join other new Vandals in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome as we start your experience off great! You’ll join other new Vandals for the “I” photo, meet with some great campus leaders and engage in the traditional walk toward the Administration Lawn for a relaxing fun-filled Welcome BBQ afterwards!
